Cancellation Policy:

If trip date is during HIGH SEASON (15/04/22-02/05/22 & 09/06/22-25/09/22) the following applies:
- 7 days before departure: Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 7 days up to 4 hours prior to departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 4 hours up to the departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
- 4 days before departure (in Saronic islands): Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 4 days up to 2 hours prior to departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 2 hours up to the departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date. In Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri route, tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, up to the departure.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to another date.

For the period from 15/04/22-24/04/22 & 09/06/22-11/06/22 for all departures from Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos, Kavala and Thessaloniki and for the period from 25/04/22-02/05/22 & 13/06/22-14/06/22 for all departures to Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos, Kavala and Thessaloniki tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, 14 days before departure. From 14 to 7 days before departure, the tickets are 75% refunded or alternatively they are turned to open-date tickets or can be changed for another date. The same applies to all Intermediate routes.

Concerning the Saronic islands routes, for the period from 15/04/22-24/04/22 & 09/06/22-11/06/22 for all departures from Piraeus and for the period from 25/04/22-02/05/22 & 13/06/22-14/06/22 for all departures to Piraeus tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, 7 days before departure. From 7 to 4 days before departure, the tickets are 75% refunded or alternatively they are turned to open-date tickets or can be changed for another date. The same applies to all Intermediate routes.

During LOW SEASON (all other dates except those mentioned in HIGH SEASON):
- 3 days before departure: Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 3 days up to 1 hour prior to departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 1 hour up to the departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
- 1 day before departure (in Saronic islands): Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 1 day up to the departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to another date.

OPEN DATE TICKETS: Open date tickets are cancelled without fees when they have been originally issued as open date. Tickets which have been converted to open date, are cancelled according to the cancellation terms and conditions of the originally issued tickets. If passengers wish to travel on a date when a higher fare is in force, then they must pay the difference between the current and the pre-paid open ticket fare. If the new tickets are cheaper the difference in rates is not refunded.
Super economy tickets are offered for limited number of tickets. These tickets cannot be cancelled or amended for another hour or departure date.
* Tickets can only be invalidated by the issuing agency and they cannot be invalidated over the phone. Passengers who wish to cancel their tickets must hand them over to the issuing agency.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the following cancellation policy applies for all tickets that have been issued before the 07-07-2020.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTICE:

Altered cancellation policy of Blue Star ferries due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Cancellation is not possible.
You can convert your tickets into Open Date Tickets / Credit Voucher to use within 18 months from the date of your initial trip, on any route of the ferry company.
In case you have not used your Open date tickets / Credit Voucher within this 18 months period, you will be entitled to a full refund of the tickets’ value.

Embarkation Procedure

Passengers and vehicles must be at the port at least one hour before departure.

Ticket issuing

Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred. They are valid only for the seat and the class they have been issued for. Any changes or alterations of the tickets must be made from the travel agency, the ticket offices in the port or the central offices of the company. No alteration can be made by phone.

Alteration of departure

The company is not responsible for any delay due to bad weather conditions, force majeure and orders of the Ministry of Merchant Marine or the Port Authorities. If the trip is cancelled with fault of the company, then the tickets are fully refunded.

On board

Passengers are the sole responsible for their personal items while on board. Valuables, money or documents can be given to the Pursuer's office for safeguarding. The company vessels have specially designed areas for pets. For reasons of hygiene, pets are not allowed to enter indoor common areas of the ship. If they are in outdoor areas, they have to be with their owners and to always wear a leash and a muzzle. Unescorted pets are not accepted. Passengers must carry their personal items with them because entry into the garage is prohibited after the ship has sailed.

Passengers Ticket Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The ticket is issued in the passengers name, is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which it was issued.
The fare does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship one (1) hour before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the fare.
Children up to 4 years old travel free of charge and are not entitled to bed, while children over 4 and up to 10 years old pay a reduced fare and are entitled to bed.
The bearer of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter.
In case of loss of the ticket, it will not be replaced nor the fare will be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passengers luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip.
Jewellery, money and valuable objects may be delivered to the ships accounting office for safekeeping.
The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure and in any case on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Policy of the company

Cancellation Policy:
If trip date is during HIGH SEASON (15/04/22-02/05/22 & 09/06/22-25/09/22) the following applies:
- 7 days before departure: Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 7 days up to 4 hours prior to departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 4 hours up to the departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
- 4 days before departure (in Saronic islands): Tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 4 days up to 2 hours prior to departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 2 hours up to the departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date. In Piraeus-Aegina-Agistri route, tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, up to the departure.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to another date.

For the period from 15/04/22-24/04/22 & 09/06/22-11/06/22 for all departures from Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos, Kavala and Thessaloniki and for the period from 25/04/22-02/05/22 & 13/06/22-14/06/22 for all departures to Piraeus, Lavrio, Volos, Kavala and Thessaloniki tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, 14 days before departure. From 14 to 7 days before departure, the tickets are 75% refunded or alternatively they are turned to open-date tickets or can be changed for another date. The same applies to all Intermediate routes.

Concerning the Saronic islands routes, for the period from 15/04/22-24/04/22 & 09/06/22-11/06/22 for all departures from Piraeus and for the period from 25/04/22-02/05/22 & 13/06/22-14/06/22 for all departures to Piraeus tickets are cancelled without cancellation fees or they can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date, 7 days before departure. From 7 to 4 days before departure, the tickets are 75% refunded or alternatively they are turned to open-date tickets or can be changed for another date. The same applies to all Intermediate routes.

During LOW SEASON (all other dates except those mentioned in HIGH SEASON):
- 3 days before departure: Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 3 days up to 1 hour prior to departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- From 1 hour up to the departure (in Cyclades, Dodecanese, N. Aegean & Sporades routes): A 50% cancellation charge is applied and the tickets cannot be converted to open date tickets or to travel another date.
- 1 day before departure (in Saronic islands): Tickets are cancelled without charge or can be converted to open date tickets.
- From 1 day up to the departure (in Saronic islands): A 50% cancellation charge is applied or alternatively tickets can be converted to open date tickets or for another departure date.
- After departure: Tickets cannot be cancelled or converted to open date tickets or to another date.

OPEN DATE TICKETS: Open date tickets are cancelled without fees when they have been originally issued as open date. Tickets which have been converted to open date, are cancelled according to the cancellation terms and conditions of the originally issued tickets. If passengers wish to travel on a date when a higher fare is in force, then they must pay the difference between the current and the pre-paid open ticket fare. If the new tickets are cheaper the difference in rates is not refunded.
Super economy tickets are offered for limited number of tickets. These tickets cannot be cancelled or amended for another hour or departure date.
* Tickets can only be invalidated by the issuing agency and they cannot be invalidated over the phone. Passengers who wish to cancel their tickets must hand them over to the issuing agency.

Due to Covid-19 Pandemic, the following cancellation policy applies for all tickets that have been issued before the 07-07-2020.

IMPORTANT COVID-19 NOTICE:

Altered cancellation policy of Blue Star ferries due to Covid-19 Pandemic.
Cancellation is not possible.
You can convert your tickets into Open Date Tickets / Credit Voucher to use within 18 months from the date of your initial trip, on any route of the ferry company.
In case you have not used your Open date tickets / Credit Voucher within this 18 months period, you will be entitled to a full refund of the tickets’ value.

Embarkation Procedure

Passengers and vehicles must be at the port at least one hour before departure.

Ticket issuing

Tickets are personal and cannot be transferred. They are valid only for the seat and the class they have been issued for. Any changes or alterations of the tickets must be made from the travel agency, the ticket offices in the port or the central offices of the company. No alteration can be made by phone.

Alteration of departure

The company is not responsible for any delay due to bad weather conditions, force majeure and orders of the Ministry of Merchant Marine or the Port Authorities. If the trip is cancelled with fault of the company, then the tickets are fully refunded.

On board

Passengers are the sole responsible for their personal items while on board. Valuables, money or documents can be given to the Pursuer's office for safeguarding. The company vessels have specially designed areas for pets. For reasons of hygiene, pets are not allowed to enter indoor common areas of the ship. If they are in outdoor areas, they have to be with their owners and to always wear a leash and a muzzle. Unescorted pets are not accepted. Passengers must carry their personal items with them because entry into the garage is prohibited after the ship has sailed.

Passengers Ticket Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The ticket is issued in the passengers name, is personal and non-transferable. It is valid only for the class and the trip for which it was issued.
The fare does not include catering.
Passengers should be at the embarkation area of the ship one (1) hour before departure. If the passenger is not in time for sailing, he/she is not entitled to a refund of the fare.
Children up to 4 years old travel free of charge and are not entitled to bed, while children over 4 and up to 10 years old pay a reduced fare and are entitled to bed.
The bearer of a full ticket is allowed to carry free of charge luggage up to 40 kilos or 1 cubic meter.
In case of loss of the ticket, it will not be replaced nor the fare will be refunded. The shipping company is not responsible for any damage or loss of the passengers luggage that is under the personal care of him/her during the trip.
Jewellery, money and valuable objects may be delivered to the ships accounting office for safekeeping.
The shipping company will not be responsible for any delay in sailing, deviation and not keeping normal route, due to bad weather conditions or orders of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine or the Harbor Authorities or due to force major.
It is forbidden to the passengers to carry explosives, inflammable, incendiary and dangerous in general materials.
The passengers are responsible for the observance of the Harbor, Sanitary and Custom regulations. The passengers should comply with the captains and the crew orders regarding the maintenance of order and the safety of the ship.
The passenger should address any complaint during the trip to the ships captain or first mate and after the arrival, to the shipping company or to the Harbor Authorities.
If for any reason the travel is cancelled due to the ships responsibility, the fare is refunded without any further obligation of the shipping company towards the passenger.
The shipping company has the right, after approval of the Ministry of Mercantile Marine, to replace the vessel for which the ticket was issued with another vessel.

Vehicle Transport Receipt Conditions

Approved by the Hellenic Ministry of Mercantile Marine
The drivers are obligated to load and unload their vehicle.
The vehicles should be at the waiting for shipment area one (1) hour before departure and in any case on the time prescribed by the Port Regulation in force.
The driver is not entitled to refund of the fare if he is not in time for sailing, while if he states before sailing his intention not to ship his vehicle, he is entitled to a refund of half of the fare.
In case of loss of vehicle transport receipt, the fare is not refunded.
The vehicles passengers have to get out of them before their shipment aboard.
The passengers should carry with them objects that they need during the travel. After sailing the entrance to the vehicle station is forbidden.
The transportation of explosives, incendiary and dangerous in general materials is forbidden. The priority order is determined by the Port Regulations of each Harbor Authorities, where the vehicles are shipped.

Not too bad for the first time

Not many complaints about "Ferriesingreece". Except that by taking tickets for the trip Piraeus-Mytilene, I did not know that the boat (ferry company Hellenic Seaways) made four stops before reaching our destination. The trip lasted 14 h 30, which I knew at first, but actually, it does not exceed 8 hours. There was no other choice offered along with other companies on "Ferriesingreece ". The delay of 20 minutes from Piraeus, on such a journey time, was finally not a problem. On the other hand, the two other boats that we took, always with Hellenic Seaways, were three hours late from the start, without being informed in advance by email or SMS (unless you have downloaded the application of Hellenic Seaways). Τhis concerned the trips Mytilene-Chios and Chios-Piraeus. At last, by being three hours late it was possible to miss a plane! Conclusion: it is better to allow a delay of 24 hours when returning from the islands to Piraeus before leaving Greece, by plane or boat from Patras! In general, the service of Hellenic Seaways on board is very good, which is worth noting.

Unbelievable!

I reserved your ferry from Mikonos to Tinos and return from Tinos to Mykonos. First trip on 28th july was fine, but return on 4th august the ferry arrived on Tinos 1hour an 40 minutes later !!! I had Ryanair flight from Mikonos that started 16.20 pm, Ferry arrived about 16 pm at the port, so finally I arrived on the airport at 16.10 pm!!! The Gate was closed and the staff of the airport did not want to embark us... but, after my protests, they made me go through the controls gate with the boarding suitcase and they have thrown away the liquid products!!!! (I lost about 100 euros!!). Notice that on the ferry I asked crew if they could call airport for ask to wait us, but answer was: "Sorry we do not have airport number !!!!!!" Unbelievable!! Anyway, if you have to book ferry remember to book it many many hours before flight.
